Hello world, and welcome to our blog!

We are a Swedish/Norwegian couple who will be cycling from Norway, through Europe and Central Asial, towards South East Asia. We aim to document and share this experience through photography and video on this blog, and we hope you’ll enjoy it.

Who are we?

Daniel is a 31 year old Swede with a passion for cycling, travel, photography, and loves to live by the day. He’s previously done one bicycle tour from Sweden to Turkey in 2015. He later studied graphic design at a university for 1,5 years, but kept dreaming of cycling all the way to Asia. Thus, he took a break from the studies in order to save up money for that one big trip that would last for over a year. During this period he met a Norwegian girl, and later moved to Norway to live with her.

This girls name is Thea, a 24 year old Norwegian who has been working as a sign language interpreter for the past two years, after having studied for four years, graduating with a bachelors degree in Norwegian sign language. The only experience she has with cycling is the daily commute from and to school during childhood, which she didn’t really enjoy. But she really likes nature and the song Bicycle Race by Queen, so what could go wrong?

Why are we doing this trip?

We both enjoy being in the nature and are interested in finding out what’s outside the normal routinely life that we’ve been living. So what better way is there than to experience the world slowly, on a bicycle, spending every day in a new location. Living an independent life where we decide what to do whenever we want, and go wherever we want. It’s also an environmentally friendly, inexpensive way of traveling, and a good way to learn about countries, cultures and the people that inhabit them. Hopefully we will learn a thing or two about ourselves and eachother as well.
